Summer wedding at Place D’Armes Hotel in Montreal
There is nothing greater, yet more terrifying than to create flowers for friends or family, especially when it’s a wedding! Everything needs to be absolutely perfect and the anticipation of the bride and groom loving the flowers is just crazy, what a feeling!
Our dear friends Mélanie and Brent got married August 14th at the beautiful Place d’Armes Hotel in Montreal’s Old Port, and guess who designed the flowers? Mélanie gave me ”carte blanche” with a guideline that she wanted her bouquet to be mostly in the whites and that her bridesmaids were dressed were purple, that’s it!
I thought it would be nice for her to have a touch of purple in her bouquet to tie everything together, so we worked with a small amount of mokara orchids in a soft touch of purple which we paired with white hydrangeas, white spray roses and white mini-callas, we also added a purple ribbon to the white braiding of the bouquet. I love the bouquet with her dress, so delicate, feminine with a vintage flare.
The bridesmaid’s bouquet were so simple with a punch of color from the purple mokara orchids and the purple hydrangeas.
We made a ball of purple carnations on top of a small cylinder vase with crystals at the bottom and floating purple mokara orchids for the cocktail tables, so cute, but let me tell you the guests had quite a blast with those flower balls at the end of the night!
Gen and I had so much fun that special night and we are so proud to count Mel and Brent amongst our friends, they are such amazing, down to earth people that light up a room, we wish you the best in your new journey! Je t’aime ma poule! Lol
