Feminine, yet bright and fun, these hot pinks are enough on their own to spice up any event! Whether they are mixed with other bright colors or simply used as a the main one, they will create a great impact.

Purple color scheme

Blues and purples are not very common colors in flowers compared to other schemes, although we can find them more and more these days, the choice is limited. This is why we have to use our creativity to design wonderful arrangements using these precious colors!

Flower Design For An Intimate Montreal Backyard Wedding

Soft Color Flowers for an Intimate Montreal Backyard Wedding

Soft Colors for an Intimate Backyard Wedding

Kathou and I met a while ago having worked at the same flower shop, therefore it was important for me to create stunning arrangements for her cozy backyard wedding.
It was important for the flower choice to be simple and elegant, she didn’t want anything too extravagant as the event was a more intimate and laid-back one. We used gorgeous two-toned Esperance Roses, mini green Hydrangeas, white Dendrobium Orchids and green Cordyline leaves to create a soft modern meets traditional look.

Congratulations to the newlyweds, all the best for the future and your baby on the way!

Flowers For A Girly Cupcake Tea Party in Paris

Montreal Flowers: A girly cupcakes and tea party in Paris.

Montreal Flowers: A girly cupcakes and tea party in Paris.

A girly cupcake tea party in Paris, was the inspiration behind this photoshoot that we’ve done a few months ago. The gorgeous pictures were taken by Amélie Cousineau, the very talented photographer behind many of the pictures you see on this blog.

We wanted to create a pink, girly, glamourous and luxurious ambiance. Now that I am thinking about it, I am realizing that maybe Gen, Amélie and I should have dressed up, and enjoyed tea and cupcakes on this set! Well, we were busy working. And looking at these pics, we’ve done a pretty good job, don’t you think? I am proud of this thematic.

The abundance of dark pink phalaenopsis orchid bouquets with their steams braded in fushia satin ribbons emerging from chandeliers on top of tall clear cylinder vases are definitely a show stopper. The small pink peony bouquets create a nice touch on the very festive table. J’aime, j’aime! And you?

An Imaginary Bouquet Straight From My Dreams

Imaginary Bouquet

Imaginary Bouquet

I woke up yesterday with the idea of a stunning crazy expensive bouquet. Well, why not! I can allow it in my dreams. I decided to browse the web for pictures to share the fruit of my never stopping mind (even when asleep ) with you guys! The reason I really wanted to share it, and put it on paper ( paper, hum! I mean in html ) is the unusual color combination of it. It is interesting, and out of the ordinary.

So, here it is :

  1. Pinkish/purplish Paphiopedilum Orchids (my favorite orchids, so beautiful!)
  2. Light pink Celosias
  3. Light green Helleborus
  4. Dark purple Dahlias
  5. Purple Ranunculus.

I love it, I love it, I love it. And I would love the Montreal bride that will order this bouquet from me, just to make my dream come true! Any takers?

Julia’s Birthday Flowers

Montreal Birthday Flowers: Julia's Flowers

Montreal Birthday Flowers: Julia's Flowers

This was a little birthday party we created the flowers for in Montreal last year for a lady named Julia.

She requested something lovely and feminine, nothing over the top, simply sweet flowers to bring life to her backyard where the party was taking place.

With the choice of fushia gerberas, esperance roses, light pink larkspur, green santinis, pittosporum and accordeon leaves we created just that sweet, simple, lovely, feminine arrangements to match her request.

I take this opportunity to bring up the lesson in contrast I gave you here. These pictures above show well how lime green makes vibrant colors just pop.

Valerie & Fabio’s Wedding Flowers

Romantic Wedding Flower Arrangements

Romantic Wedding Flower Arrangements

Valérie and Fabio are a fresh & beautiful young couple from Italy, that picked Montreal as the place where they want to exchange vows and celebrate with their family and friends their love and union.

They picked the Nelligan as their venue. A modern and beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Old Montreal.

When I hear Italy, I think romance! Don’t you? And this is exactly the feeling Valerie and Fabio’s wedding flowers reflected. Romance, lots of it! The soft pinks, blues and white color combination, and their choice of flowers (white and blue hydrangeas, cream and sand color roses, soft pink spray roses, cream cymbidium orchids) made the overall feel of the wedding elegant, soft and romantic

The idea was to use flowers, flowers, and more flowers, with no greenery. And this creates simple soft yet romantic luscious bouquets.

Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
