Flowers for HEC Montreal

We made these cute little arrangements for a cocktail party at HEC Montreal a couple weeks ago.
We love how colorful and juicy they look with the mini-green hydrangeas, orange gerberas and little yellow craspedia balls. A great way to give a pop of color without going overboard.
Perfect for this beautiful sunny day!

Flowers for BOMA Québec Cocktail in Montreal

We created floral arrangements for BOMA Québec, a local company who’s mission is to train, inform and represent building owners and administrators and to encourage efficient building management.

The cocktail took place at the very modern Le Parquet reception hall in Montréal and was organized by OPC Événements. The theme for the evening was the 4 seasons, therefore we worked with different colors to achieve this feel. The sceling being extremely high, we decided to use the same base for all the arrangements : 6 feet birch troncs in vases. Working with a variety of flowers from white Hydrangeas and white Agapanthus for winter, green Anthuriums and green Callas for spring, yellow Gerberas and yellow Mokara Orchids for summer and finally orange Gerberas and orange Fire Opals for fall. We also incorporated Pendanus and Accordeon leaves as well as various fruits.

What an impact these arrangements gave to the evening!

Les fleurs du mariage d’Isabelle et Sébastien à Montréal: automne et pommes rouges!

Isabelle et Sébastien sont un jeune couple de 28 ans, elle enseignante dans un collège privé et lui ingénieur, qui ont fait appel à nos services pour leur mariage à l’Hotel Plaza de Valleyfield.

Le thème du mariage était l’automne et les pommes rouges (une de leurs activités favorites étant la cueillette de pommes), nous avons travaillé avec la simplicité des Gerberas et des Roses rouges. Ayant la couleur rouge comme couleur dominante, l’ambiance dégageait une certaine chaleur et les formes étant net et précises un côté moderne.

Connaissant Isabelle depuis très longtemps, il était très important pour moi que ce projet soit une grande réussite. Je leur souhaite tout le bonheur du monde!

Julia’s Birthday Flowers

This was a little birthday party we created the flowers for in Montreal last year for a lady named Julia.

She requested something lovely and feminine, nothing over the top, simply sweet flowers to bring life to her backyard where the party was taking place.

With the choice of fushia gerberas, esperance roses, light pink larkspur, green santinis, pittosporum and accordeon leaves we created just that sweet, simple, lovely, feminine arrangements to match her request.

I take this opportunity to bring up the lesson in contrast I gave you here. These pictures above show well how lime green makes vibrant colors just pop.

DIY: A Small Affordable Cute Flower Arrangement

There is no need for a lot of budget to create a very cute impact.

Take a look at this arrangement:

1. Take a small vase which you will cover in a soft green polka dot fabric and a fine soft yellow ribbon.
2. Then add a piece of Pandanus leaf inside the vase (you already got a very cool effect!).
3. Use a fresh and crisp yellow Gerbera flower which you’ll cut shorter so it would simply lay on top of the vase.
4. What to do with the rest of the steam of the flower … throw it out ? Absolutely not !
5. Cut it in smaller pieces and lay them horizontally on top of the vase.

Can you believe with such little time and some creativity you can get this look for under 10$!
