Here are MaryAnn and Eric’s centerpieces!
As I mentionned last friday, MaryAnn LOVES butterflies and wanted them incorporated in the centerpieces. We thought tying them to branches inside the vase and laying them on the flowers would look lovely, and it did. The colors were awesome, it truely was a girly girl flower concept!
Working with Karen Ortizo, the wedding planner, was great, hope to do it again soon!
MaryAnn and Eric got married on July 17th at the Intercontinental Hotel in Montreal.
Since they live in Florida, we discussed and designed their wedding flowers from a distance which was quite challenging but so great to see how much faith they had in our work! She LOVES butterflies and wanted a cream, green, cranberry and different shades of pink color pallet. Peonies were the main element, with roses and hydrangeas we were able to give her the bouquets of her dreams!
We will be showing off her centerpieces on monday, can’t wait!
I love this idea of gigantic grass sofas, the National Trust of Great Britain’s came up with this idea. They did a research and found families spending 43 hours a week at home. The National Trust want families to enjoy the outdoors and they definitely will with this idea. We need this in montreal! All we do is work, work and work or we are attached to our laptops, blackberries and iphones! The sofa is made of grass and turf. Obviously it is a project that is high in maintenance to keep grass green and proper amount of water is required with the mix of sun.

Si vous vous souvenez, nous avions à nos débuts un tout petit espace fermé dans lequel nous pouvions parfaitement travailler. Je vous assure qu’avec une moyenne de 2 à 3 mariages par weekend et Michelle qui s’est joint à nous cet été les fleurs nous sortait par les oreilles dans ce mini local, nous avons donc complètement envahi le garage ainsi que l’espace extérieur du bâtiment! Il y a des fleurs partout et on adore!

Un immense merci à nos nouveaux collègues et amis chez Principal Planner, Marsha Brumer Events et Altitude Concepts qui ont permis de faire de cette année un succès monstre! À toutes ceux et celles qui ont entendu parlé de nous, ou bien qui sont tombé sur notre site web ou notre Blog et qui ont décidé de nous faire confiance avec leurs événements les plus chers, ce fût un honneur. Pour terminer, un remerciement spécial à nos familles, conjoints et amis pour leur patience et encouragements dans les bons et mauvais moments, nous vous aimons!
Nous entammons donc cette 4ième année sur une note des plus positive, les plus belles années avec O.xide sont à venir!
Luca Porcelli and Maurizio Duranti take an interesting twist to furniture. Their approach to design is obviously not traditional. The two designers are based in Milan, most of their pieces are made to measure or one of a kind. The designers choose to use graffiti, silk, leather, wood, baroque, manga and steel as materials, therefore they work with a bit of everything and create unique pieces. Their designs are a combination of their self-expression and their client needs. Porcelli and Duranti believe in having fun with their work and ideas coming naturally. This certainly shows through their work.

If you have been reading us for a while, you simply know how much I LOVE peonies, all colors of them, but these pink ones are just stunning! With the peachy orange of these roses and hot pink of the spray roses it is a soft and happy mix all together.
A great color combination, lovely shapes and happy bride and groom!

Do you love nature? Icelandic landscape architect Dagný Bjarnadóttir designed the furnibloom. Bjarnadóttir is definitely a green lover and inspired by nature. The furnibloom is designed to grows plants inside the tables and chairs. The furniture is made of plexiglass. The furnibloom was created in 2007, but for the first time on August 15, 2010 it will appear at Shanghai’s 2010 World Expo as part of the Nordic Lighthouse exhibition. If your really curious about the furnibloom, this is your chance to see it! The furnibloom is tastefully designed!

Vous avez vu nos boules de santinis verts la semaine dernière pour notre projet au Marché Bonsecours, voici une autre façon d’utiliser ces charmantes petites sphères vertes!
J’ai simplement planté quelques gerberas dans l’éponge florale, sur le dessus de la boule, celle-ci se transformant en vase pour les gerberas roses foncé …
Mignon, non! Parfait pour un shower ou même une fête d’enfants!
