Wedding Ceremony Flower Decoration

As I promised last week, I am sharing with you the arrangements which decorated the ceremony area for Annick and Martin’s wedding in Montreal.

They were looking for a very clean, simple and modern look, using white callas. We combined these callas with big accordeon leaves and earth toned river rocks in tall clear vases to create this minimalist, yet compelling look. Sometimes little touches can go a long way, remember … it’s all about the details!

Wedding Flowers

Annick and Martin are a young fresh urban couple from Montreal.

Their colors being eggplant and sage green, we played it off adding some lilac, purple and lime green to create an awesome color scheme! We used dark eggplant mini-Callas, lilac roses, purple Dendrobium Orchids, lime green Cymbidium Orchids and green Santinis. The stems of the bouquets and boutonnieres were wrapped in an eggplant ribbon with an accent of sage green ribbon.

Montreal Wedding Flowers: Anja & Ale

Anja and Ale's Wedding Flower Arrangement

Anja & Ale got married at the warm and elegant historic Maison Trestler in Vaudreuil last Saturday.

Being in love with her future husband of course, Anja also shared her love with Calla Lilies! Wanting to keep the warm look of the venue, we chose to work with dark oranges and creams with a touch of lime green, using burnt orange Calla Lilies, orange Mokara Orchids, white Hydrangeas and green Santinis. The result looks fabulous!

Les fleurs du mariage d’Isabelle et Sébastien à Montréal: automne et pommes rouges!

C'est le rouge qui domine le mariage d'Isabelle et Sebastien

Le thème du mariage était l’automne et les pommes rouges (une de leurs activités favorites étant la cueillette de pommes), nous avons travaillé avec la simplicité des Gerberas et des Roses rouges. Ayant la couleur rouge comme couleur dominante, l’ambiance dégageait une certaine chaleur et les formes étant net et précises un côté moderne.

Connaissant Isabelle depuis très longtemps, il était très important pour moi que ce projet soit une grande réussite. Je leur souhaite tout le bonheur du monde!

Soft Colors for an Intimate Backyard Wedding

Kathou and I met a while ago having worked at the same flower shop, therefore it was important for me to create stunning arrangements for her cozy backyard wedding.
It was important for the flower choice to be simple and elegant, she didn’t want anything too extravagant as the event was a more intimate and laid-back one. We used gorgeous two-toned Esperance Roses, mini green Hydrangeas, white Dendrobium Orchids and green Cordyline leaves to create a soft modern meets traditional look.

Les Fleurs du mariage de Jennifer & Mathieu à Montréal

Des formes et des couleurs tres originales

Jennifer et Mathieu sont un jeune couple coloré ayant fait appel à nos services pour la journée la plus importante de leur vie, leur mariage!

Jennifer ayant en tête depuis longtemps le gerberas, nous n’avons pu faire autrement que de s’assurer que cette fleur soit mise en premier plan pour ce projet. La palette de couleur désirée étant le fushia, jaune et vert lime, les arrangements ne manquaient pas de vie et d’éclat! Nous avons utilisé des Gerberas jaunes et fushia, des mini-Callas jaunes et des feuilles de Pandanus.

Montreal Wedding Flowers: Marie-Ève & Raphaël

Aqua, White and Crystal Wedding

Marie-Ève and Raphaël hired us to design their wedding flowers at the stunning Montreal Science Center.

The guideline was very simple, crisp, modern, elegant and in the shades of white with a touch of aqua (special request from the groom!). We kept the flower selection quite modest, we simply worked with white Dendrobium Orchids which we paired with crystals, lots of crystals. We included the color aqua in the brading of the bouquets and boutonnières.

On a final note, here is another proof that simple is beautiful!

Magnifiques bouquet et boutonnière

Manon et Alex ont fait appel à nos services pour la création de bouquets, boutonnières et corsages pour leur mariage.

Manon nous a envoyé un montage photo qu’elle avait créé, représentant sa vision des couleurs et textures désirées, nous lui avons ensuite présenté quelques croquis et elle est tout de suite tombé en amour avec le concept!

Pour s’agencer à son montage dans les tons de rouge, bleu pâle et crème au look vintage, nous avons choisi d’utiliser une combinaison de Dahlias rouges, d’Hydrangées bleu pâle et blanc et d’Orchidées Cymbidiums crème. Les bouquets et boutonnières ont droit à une finition de dentelle crème et de ruban rouge et bleu pâle.

Excellent concept de départ de la part de Manon, un autre projet réussi!

Montreal Wedding Flowers: Nathalie & Dale

Old Montreal Wedding Flowers

Nathalie & Dale are an easy going young couple from out of town, that decided to get married in the gorgeous Place D’Armes Hotel in Old Montreal. Many young couples, especially out-of-towners are falling in love withOld Montreal and are making it their wedding destination.

I think the main reason for this phenomenon, is that typically, weddings are more conservative than other kind of parties. And Old Montreal with its beautiful old architecture brings the “conservative” and “elegant” factor to a wedding. On the other hand, the hotels are very modern in interior design and branding.

In my opinion the mariage of the old to the new is very exciting, and I think this is what is attracting the couples to pick Old Montreal.

Nathalie and Dale represent a bit what I am talking about. Nathalie being more modern in her taste, and Dale a bit more conservative.  Our challenge was to please them both, and I think we succeeded. Working with this couple was a lot of pleasure, as they were relaxed and fun all through the process.

Old Montreal Wedding Flowers - My Sketches

We went with a neutral colour scheme of creams and whites that we punched with some apple green and chocolate bown. The flowers we used in the project are the green cymbidium orchids, green celosia, white hydrangea, cream roses, all very classic flowers. To make the bride happy and give her that extra little something, we integrated chocolate brown feathers. And finally we combined green apples to add freshness to the whole feel of the wedding.

Romantic Wedding Flower Arrangements

Valérie and Fabio are a fresh & beautiful young couple from Italy, that picked Montreal as the place where they want to exchange vows and celebrate with their family and friends their love and union.

They picked the Nelligan as their venue. A modern and beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Old Montreal.

When I hear Italy, I think romance! Don’t you? And this is exactly the feeling Valerie and Fabio’s wedding flowers reflected. Romance, lots of it! The soft pinks, blues and white color combination, and their choice of flowers (white and blue hydrangeas, cream and sand color roses, soft pink spray roses, cream cymbidium orchids) made the overall feel of the wedding elegant, soft and romantic

The idea was to use flowers, flowers, and more flowers, with no greenery. And this creates simple soft yet romantic luscious bouquets.
