New York based designer, Deger Cengiz designs are one of a kind. His designs are out of the ordinary, but are they functional? He has designed some beautiful pieces such as the breakfast tray legs made of feathers and the cactus chair. But I personally think these pieces are decorative. The table topped mirror surrounded with wood is stunning. My kind of table! So what do you think are his pieces decorative or functional?

J’adore les formes organiques et les couleurs vivantes de ces objets tels que le porte chandelle, la lampe et les superbes vases dans lesquels je peux déjà imaginer quelques arrangements floraux! C’est le temps d’aller magasiner!
Patrick Nadeau Affordable House
Architect Patrick Nadeau is currently in the process of making this beautiful, green hill roof house. It should be complete by February 2011 in Reims, France. The house is priced at an affordable 250 000 euros (currently $385 386.05 in Canadian). I’m sure it will catch the attention of many plant lovers looking to by an affordable house. It’s just perfect!

Steven Ma's eco-friendly bench
Steven Ma is behind the eco-friendly bench. Being very creative and friendly towards the environment the bench collects solar energy during the day and releases it in the night by illuminating the bench. The bench also accumulates water for the plants that are planted on the sides of the bench. Ma’s design is ingenious! I just adore creativity.

Eco Friendly themed flower arrangement
I was recently put to the challenge to create a glamourous, yet eco-friendly design for a very green couple getting married at the Montreal’s Science Center.
After much thought, I came up with the use of huge white phalaenopsis plants resting on top of a tall cylinder vase with river rocks at the bottom, a floating light green hydrangea and a tall branch of curly willow coming out of the top. I simply figured that instead of having flowers that would be thrown away a couple days later, they could at least keep those plants as long as they can take care of them! 
We always try to use and re-use as much of the flowers we can in a project so there is no waste, I think the plants are a great idea in that sens!
A sketch for an August wedding
I created this design for a centerpiece a couple weeks ago for clients who are getting married in august.
The wedding taking place at the Montreal’s W Hotel, the design had to work with the hotel’s color and style.
I simply love what the result of this sketch!
A piece of glass separating a ball of eggplant mini-carnations and a tall cylinder clear vase with black river rocks at the bottom and fushia dendrobium orchids inside. We also added some chrome chandeliers around the vase to create more impact.
I am so excited about this one, but we’ll have to wait a little while …
Les Dianthus
Voici notre dernier coup de coeur!
Je suis tombée en amour avec ces pompoms verts nommés dianthus; ils viennent d’Hollande et sont tout à fait sublimes. Je les ai reçu en cadeau, quelle joie! La simplicité avec laquelle je les ai arrangé les mets en valeur, elles sont les stars du bouquet.
Je vous laisse maintenant car je dois aller admirer mes jolis pompoms!
Des fleurs pour la fête des mères
Au cas où quelques uns de vous l’auraient oublié, ce weekend est dédié à nos chères mamans!
Cette année, toute ma famille se réuniera au nouveau clubhouse du Club de Golf de Laprairie pour un brunch de la fête des mères. Mon oncle et moi avons donc décidé de récompenser celles qu’on aime avec de jolis centres de tables. J’ai opté pour un design super simple mais frais et féminin. Du splendide lilas d’Hollande entouré de fleurs d’orchidées cymbidiums dans un pot gris-brun, j’avais aussi peut-être pensé utiliser un pot coloré … c’est le genre de décision de dernière minute que j’aime bien prendre quand j’en ai la chance! Lorsque je crée pour ma famille, je ne peux jamais me décider, c’est plutôt simple, je ne recherche qu’une chose … le design parfait!
Sur ce, j’hésite entre les cymbidiums verts ou roses qui sont tous deux magnifiques, lesquels devrais-je utiliser?

I’m really not responsible when it comes to taking care of plants. In my care they dry up after a month. The only plant that has stayed fresh and still alive is the little cactus in my room, that requires very little care and is low maintenance! I came across the Vitamin’s I.V. plant pot this is the solution for the next plant I will purchase. The I.V. plant pot is perfect for people who can’t maintain their plants… People like me! Its a self watering pot that is attached with a water feeding tube. Your plant will require no attention, will survive and make your life easier!
