Who is behind Wozzup Mutazionidinterni ?

Luca Porcelli and Maurizio Duranti take an interesting twist to furniture. Their approach to design is obviously not traditional. The two designers are based in Milan, most of their pieces are made to measure or one of a kind. The designers choose to use graffiti, silk, leather, wood, baroque, manga and steel as materials, therefore they work with a bit of everything and create unique pieces. Their designs are a combination of their self-expression and their client needs. Porcelli and Duranti believe in having fun with their work and ideas coming naturally. This certainly shows through their work.

The Invisible Treehotel

F55121447

Stunning treehotel is opening it’s doors July 17th, 2010 in Harads, Sweden. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s all covered in mirror, this makes the treehotel appear almost invisible! It is designed by Tham & Videgård Arkitekter but the man behind the unique concept is Kent Lindvall. For now, two treehotels will be available and each treehotel is 172 square feet, which is able to fit a queen size bed, small bathroom, sitting area and kitchen. Each treehotel is designed by a different architect, all uniquely different! This has to be the craziest tree house I’ve seen, something I would love to experience. So, would you sleep 18 feet off the ground?

Wooden Chairs are Soft or Not?

wood chair

Soft Wood is created by Veronika Wildgruber. Her designs are one of a kind. She tries to make wood look soft and comfortable but when in reality we know it’s not. When I first spotted the chair I thought it was fabricated in leather, and boy was I wrong. Veronika uses solid wood and it is all hand crafted. It requires a lot of time and patience especially if she wants to give the illusion that the chair is made of fabric. Her work is attractive and very powerful!

Are Deger Cengiz Designs Decorative or Functional

Breakfast Tray and cactus chair by Deger Cengiz

Breakfast Tray and cactus chair by Deger Cengiz

New York based designer, Deger Cengiz designs are one of a kind.  His designs are out of the ordinary, but are they functional?  He has designed some beautiful pieces such as the breakfast tray legs made of feathers and the cactus chair.  But I personally think these pieces are decorative.  The table topped mirror surrounded with wood is stunning.  My kind of table! So what do you think are his pieces decorative or functional?

A Preview of Karenne & Danny’s Wedding

Flowers for Wedding, Oxide Design, Montreal Florists

Flowers we have in mind for Karenne & Danny's Wedding

This weekend will be a very special one for Karenne and Danny; their wedding!
They’re a young couple with two small children who are having a nice intimate wedding at l’Auberge Saint-Gabriel.
Purple being a very popular color this season, we chose to work with eggplant mini-callas, purple mokara orchids, eggplant dendrobium orchids, purple roses, blue hyacinthes, green santinis and pandanus leaves.
We also added white mini-callas for the bride’s bouquet as she felt the bride should carry some type of white flower.
The style is very simple and modern, just as they requested! Can’t wait to show you the pictures next week, stay tuned!

Making Gardening Modern

Gardening time and I love this furniture!

Gardening time and I love this furniture!

Its gardening time again! I found some exciting gardening decorations that are out of the norm. These pieces will out shine all of your neighbor gardens! Yes they are high maintenance, but worth it. Each piece has its own modern flare. My personal favorite is the grass ottoman. It just looks like a really, really big chia pet! :) Remember those back in the 90’s? I’m really keen on making a garden look fresh and modern and I find these furiture pieces will do the trick!

Gardening Couture

Moss is everywhere, in damp areas, in crack pavement, trees and in jewelry? Yes, i just said jewelry! Hafsteinn Juliusson designs jewelry using moss . I came across his growing jewelry and found it captivating. He combines jewelry and gardening together. Juliussion has taken gardening to another level that is high maintenance and simply fashionable. His limited collection is handmade in silver, and created for people who live in metropolitan areas to remind them of the greenery.
