Gen Loves DragonBoat.

H20 Playground Dragon Boat Montreal

You’ll ask me why all of a sudden there are sports pics on a flower blog. Well, since we’d like you to get to know us as much as possible, I thought I would share with you one of Gen’s passions.

Gen is a sporty girl and has always been, even within her busy schedule she still finds a way to stay fit and have fun by paddling in a dragonboat team!

Her boyfriend owns a dragonboat company called H20 Playground located at the Montreal Olympic basin, I was part of it for a season (even not being the sporty type at all !) and it’s a blast!

A dragonboat is a very long and narrow canoe-style human-powered boat. It is now used in the team paddling sport of dragonboat racing which originated in China over 2000 years ago. It’s a great physical activity that can help prevent the daily stress of life and is an antidepressant for individuals and businesses wishing to get away and rediscover their inner child.

A lot of companies nowadays take the opportunity and organize dragon boat office parties to encourage team spirit, and enhance interpersonal relationships. I personally think it is a great idea! I wouldn’t say I would decorate the dragon boat with flowers during such events, but it is still a party. And a fun one!
