Garance Doré et les fleurs

Denise Porcaro

Funny boutonnière idea reminding me of my childhood

van

Just found the funniest and craziest boutonnière idea while checking out Style Me Pretty’s Blog!

This soooo reminds me of my childhood, I was obsessed with arts & crafts and always used tones of those colorful pipe cleaners.

What a creative, and mostly, appropriate idea for a candy themed wedding, love it! Can’t stop smiling, these people are so cool!

Elisa Strozyk new wooden textile fabric

textile

I came across this wooden carpet and thought a carpet made of wood seems really uncomfortable! Elisa Strozyk the young designer behind this carpet found a new textile. She combines wood and fabric. Elisa is known for using wooden textiles and creating lamps, chairs and carpets. If your wondering the carpet is created with pieces of laser cut veneer that is bonded onto fabric, making the carpet easy to transport. Elisa has found a new look at material!

Working with one of the best wedding blogs Style me pretty!

F580979901

What an honor it was to work with the best of the best on this Style me pretty photoshoot!

When our dear friend Azar from Principal Planner approached us to create the floral designs for this awesome photoshoot, we screamed YES! It is not every day you get the opportunity to be featured on one of the best wedding blogs out there … what an achievement for us, we are so proud.

F580979912

The whole process started with an inspiration board we had to portray in our designs, the colors being white, black and light blue with a vintage flare. After hours of brainstorming and shopping with Azar, ”From Paris With Love” came to life! We used white and blue hydrangeas, stunning white roses, white dahlias, white peonies, black callas and white astilbe. Along with Azar’s breathtaking design of the room, the result is amazing and Davina + Daniel were there to capture all this greatness!

Thank you again Azar for choosing us amongst all the sensational vendors you picked, working with you is always crazy fun!

Chris Bosse’s sliced box chair

F57732909

Have you seen anything like this? Australian architect Chris Bosse designs are captivating. I saw this piece and I was stunned. Bosse was educated in the art of architecture in Germany and Switzerland. His work is very futuristic and organic, This specific chair is physically carved out of a sliced box. When I first saw it I thought it was made of neon wired lights. Currently this piece is being featured at the powerhouse museum in Sydney, Australia until October 10th, 2010. I would love to see this in reality!

Purple the popular color of this season!

purple

Purple has been soooooo popular this season, it’s unreal!

This color comes in many shades, some with tones of pink, others going more towards the blue or even the eggplant color, they all look amazing. We love using mokara and dendrobium orchids, also callas and roses for our purple bouquets. Let’s not forget about the beautiful brading of the bouquets and boutonnières we can create using different color silk ribbons.

Expect to see purple on our blog this summer, you’ll love it!

Simple white calla bouquet

F57258313

Simple white calla bouquets …

I love the look of these pictures, from the weathered look of the wall, to the cement floor, to the lovely brading of the bouquets I sketch and Gen recreated. No cazy designs, just flowers at their pure state and a little touch of style.

It’s all about the details when you want to make something simple special!

The tradition of corsages

corsages

Did you ever wonder why people wear corsages at weddings? Originally corsages were started by the ancient Greeks. They believed the strong fragrance of the flowers would push all evil spirits away. Traditionally corsages were worn by the bridal party, mother of the bride and groom. Today, both sides of the family groom and bride wear them to help identify the family members. I’m a huge fan of corsages, especially when vibrant and exotic flowers are used. I find they add a elegant touch. The ones that I really love are created by Steph and Gen. They always create fresh, delicate and modern corsages. My personal fave is the corsage with the touch of feather.
